About this role:

‍The Junior Designer creates eye-catching visuals for our clients and executes them through to completion, ensuring they align with the client’s strategy, identity and brand vision. The Jr. Designer will work closely with various departments to produce work that meets the department's high design standards.

This position will report directly to our Lead Senior Designer while working closely with Carver Edison’s Chief Creative Officer. In addition, there will be frequent collaborations with the marketing, sales, product and development teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the creative department with tasks as needed: mockups, presentations, preparing files, preparations, and meeting recaps
• Design a variety of assets across branding, digital, and print 
• Collaborate with the larger design team in translating brand visions into impactful
  assets across all departments (marketing, sales, product)
• Participate in conceptual brainstorms for new branding assignments and new product launches 
• Own key projects, seeing them from start to finish

Requirements:

Educational

• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field

            (a portfolio demonstrating your creativity is more important!)

General

• Creative, curious, and hungry; ready to roll your sleeves up to get work done in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Displays a passion for great design, stylistic breadth and attention to detail
• Possesses the ability to utilize and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external resources (copywriters, illustrators, strategy, etc)
• Can work both independently and within a team environment
• Takes direction and feedback in a constructive way
• Communicates well with team members and clearly articulates the rationale for design decisions
• A tastemaker with a great eye for what’s to come
• Remains extremely organized while multi-tasking under tight timelines
• Proven experience across digital, social, print, and motion channels

Tools

• Familiarity in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite and Project Management tools such as Asana, Monday, JIRA
  
  

Bonus points:

• Working Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS
• Motion design skills
• Experience in Figma 
• Knowledge in After Effects
• A love for dogs
